In March 2023 I began as the first Business Development Manager at the Gene Therapy Innovation & Manufacturing Centre, directed by Prof Mimoun Azzouz. The centre is funded by the Medical Research Council, LifeArc and The University of Sheffield.

Between October 2021 and February 2023 I worked as a post-doc for Prof. Paul Overton at the University of Sheffield.

I completed my PhD (2015) and post-doctoral research (2015-2021) at University College London under the supervision of Prof. Alexander Gourine, Dr Jack Wells and Prof. Mark Lythgoe. I was based at the Centre for Advanced Biomedical Imaging for my MRC-funded PhD, followed by a 7 year post-doctoral research position at the Centre for Cardiovascular and Metabolic Neuroscience. I combine functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), arterial spin labelling (ASL) and two photon microscopy to investigate the control of cerebral perfusion. I am interested in the metabolic and autonomic control of brain blood flow, focusing primarily on arterioles and astrocytes.

I am interested in public engagement and regularly partake in educational and entertainment science events.

I am climate concerned and a member of Scientists for XR www.scientistsforxr.earth
